Arthur’s Cave construction underway

The construction of Arthur’s Cave is now underway on Burford Farm in Somerset, with the erection of the CNC cut plywood frame keenly observed by a one-day old calf and it’s mother! The build is due to take three and a half weeks to complete, before being transported to it’s first site in Wales at the start of May.

We are delighted to have been selected as one of the winners of a Visit Wales competition to design and build a “pop-up hotel” as part of their campaign to promote Welsh innovation, hospitality, landscape and history.

The construction of the building is due to be featured on a TV documentary in the new year.

Langley Vale Visitor Hub

MKA have recently collaborated with Invisible Studio and Momentum Engineering on proposals for a new Visitor centre in the South Downs near Epsom.

Our proposals described a simple, low-cost, low-impact timber building embedded within newly planted woodland. The purpose of the building is to allow visitors to orientate themselves with the unique landscape of the South Downs whilst acknowledging its significant importance as a World War II training site.
